Payment plans seem to be making a comeback as a way to help pet owners afford the care their pets need.
In this episode, I interview Bob Richardson, President of Veterinary Care Plans (VCP). His company helps veterinarians design and offer payment plans to clients taking the burden of marketing and administrating the plans off the plate of veterinary hospitals.
I knew there had been companies in the past who had attempted to offer wellness plans for veterinary hospitals and ultimately failed, but recently I discovered VCP that not only offers wellness payment plans, but also payment plans for dental care and chronic disease management.
Bob explains the complexities involved in not only the "practice of wellness," but also the "business of wellness." He also talks about some of the successes that practices have had offering these plans to their clients and the loyalty it fosters between vets and their clients.
